❥Mulan - Maggie Hua - FC: Jamie Chung
- Before the curse:
Hua Mulan was never the type of woman to sit around and do nothing. So when her elderly father was drafted into the war, she stole his armor and sword and assumed the identity of his son in order to take his place. She fooled her fellow soldiers for twelve years, in the process saving her country from destruction. The emperor honored her himself, offering her a position on his council. She refused, choosing instead to go home to her family farm.
The months left her restless, however, and she took up her armor and sword again to travel the country as a sort of knight errant, willing to give her sword in protection of anyone that needed it.
- During the curse:
Maggie Hua lived in Storybrooke all her life. She’s worked at her father’s restaurant for as long as it’s been legal. Her family needs her, and she’s more than willing to work to help them for as long as they need. But there’s still something inside her that longs for more.
- Connections:
Lacey: They hung out a couple times in high school. Maggie’s a little worried about where she’s headed now.
Phillip: Maggie rescued him when his car broke on the side of the road. She’s been harboring a crush ever since.
